Information You Give Us

• Account information— if you sign in to access a course you've purchased, we (through our authentication provider, Clerk) collect your name and email address.
• Testimonies and interview requests — your name, contact details, and the story or content you choose to share with us.
• Contact and course sign-up information — your name, email, and any message you send us or details you provide when registering for a course.
• Purchase information — if you buy a course, book, or merchandise, our payment processor (Stripe) collects your payment details directly. We never see or store your full card number. We do retain a record of what was purchased, the amount, and your email address, so we can fulfill the order and provide support if needed.

Information Collected Automatically

Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure automatically logs limited technical information when you visit — such as your general device and browser type, and how you interact with the Site. We use this only in aggregate, to keep the Site secure, diagnose problems, and understand how it's used. It's not used to build an advertising profile of you.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to make the Site function correctly (for example, through Clerk). We do not currently use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

How Testimonies Are Handled

When you submit a written or video testimony, a member of our team reviews it before any part of it is published. We do this both to confirm the content is appropriate to share publicly and, candidly, because some submissions describe difficult seasons — including addiction or moments of crisis — and we want a real person to see those, not just a database. If something you share suggests you may be in immediate danger, our team may reach out to you directly using the contact information you provided.

We will never publish your testimony, name, or likeness without your review and consent first. If a testimony is published, keep in mind that whatever you've chosen to include — your name, your story, any details within it — becomes publicly visible; think about what you're comfortable sharing before you submit. You can ask us to remove a previously published testimony at any time by contacting us (see below).

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide access to courses and content you've purchased or registered for
• Process payments and fulfill orders (including shipping physical items)
• Respond to your messages, testimonies, and interview requests
• Send you administrative or transactional communications (such as receipts or updates about something you submitted)
• Improve and secure the Site
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Who We Share Information With

We share information only as needed to run the Site and ministry, with service providers who are contractually required to protect it, including:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Clerk — account sign-in for course access
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Vercel and Neon — website hosting and database infrastructure

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the safety of you or others, or in connection with a genuine emergency. If you choose to give through Subsplash Giving, that transaction is governed by Subsplash's own privacy policy, not this one.

Other Limits to Your Privacy

The Site may link to external websites (such as YouTube or Subsplash) with their own, separate privacy practices — we're not responsible for those. And as noted above, any testimony or content you choose to have published on the Site is, by nature, public — treat it the way you would anything else you'd post publicly online.

Data Retention

We keep account, order, and enrollment records for as long as reasonably necessary for recordkeeping, tax, and legal purposes. We keep unpublished testimonies and interview requests only as long as needed to review and respond to them, unless you've asked us to keep or remove them sooner.

Your Choices & Rights

You can ask us at any time to:

• Access or receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your information or a testimony you submitted, subject to what we're legally required to retain (e.g. purchase records)
• Opt out of any non-essential communications from us

If you ever believe your account credentials have been lost or compromised, please contact us right away so we can help secure your account. Contact us using the details below to make any of these requests.

Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you're a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, and we rely on established, reputable providers (Stripe, Clerk, Vercel, Neon) for the most sensitive parts of that infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
